How to prepare for Amazon Virtual Customer Service Assessment with free resources

Do’s and Don’ts

DO’s:

• Ensure you are positioned in front of the web camera appropriately with your face being clearly visible. This posture has been maintained throughout the assessment. Failing to do so will lead to rejection of your candidature.

• Ensure that the surrounding area is well illuminated for clear visibility.

• Ensure having a webcam and mic on during the entire course of the assessment.

• Testing location must be indoors (walled), well lit, with a closed door and free from background noise and disruptions (The room must be as quiet as possible.

• Upload your recent passport photo (not greater than 2 months) when prompted.

• Your presence on the video is mandatory throughout the assessment and usage of any other websites or any devices is prohibited. Stepping away from the computer/laptop will lead to rejection of your candidature.

• Ensure you are well prepared for the assessment which will last for up to 1.5 hours. Keep water and snacks near you, if required.

DON’Ts:

• Do not talk to your friends or family members during the assessment. This will lead to disqualification.

• Do not move away from the camera view while the assessment is in progress. Your entire face should be in the camera view at all times. Failing to do so will lead to rejection of your candidature.

• Do not attend the assessment in an informal setting like lying on a bed/couch, sitting on your balcony, etc.

• Do not switch off the web camera or the microphone at any time during the assessment. This will lead to disqualification.

• Do not upload your old pictures from Aadhaar card, old school photo, cropped images from a group photo, etc. This will also lead to rejection of your candidature.

• Do not access any other electronic device like mobile phone, additional laptop, etc. while attending the assessment. This will lead to rejection of your candidature.

Rounds In Amazon VCS  Assessment

1.Preliminary English Test

Fill in the Blanks:

• This section consists of items with single sentences with one missing word.
• You must read and understand the sentence, and then choose the appropriate word from the given options to meaningfully complete the sentence.
• Words may be missing in any part of the sentence, and the missing words can be from any part of speech.
• For each question, you will get Multi Choices as options. You will need to select the correct option. 

Error Detection:

• This section consists of items with a single sentence with various parts of the sentence underlined.
• You need to identify which underlined part of the sentence is incorrect in the context of the sentence.
• For each question, you will get Multi Choices as options. You will need to select the correct option.

Sentence Correction:

• This section consists of items with a single sentence, with a part of the sentence underlined.
• You have to identify if the underlined part in the sentence is incorrect, and if yes, choose the option which makes the sentence grammatically correct.
• One of the options will be the same as the underlined part, which you can choose if there is no error.
• For each question, you will get Multi Choices as options. You will need to select the correct option. 

Sentence Arrangement:

• In this section, you have to rearrange one or more sentences to form a coherent sentence or paragraph.
• In the first variant, a single sentence is broken up into different parts and you have to arrange the different parts to make a meaningful sentence.
• In the second variant, multiple sentences are given which you have to rearrange to form a coherent paragraph.
• For each question, you will get Multi Choices as options. You will need to select the correct option.

The assessment doesn’t require audio, consists of multiple choice questions and isn’t about answering the questions correctly; it is about identifying the right people for the job. You may see multiple options for a question that you can relate to. You may also see multiple questions that are similar. That’s ok! Just select the response that most resembles how you would feel or behave. Note: There are no right answers. 

This is not a timed test, so the time it takes you to complete these questions is not factored into the result. It usually takes 30 minutes to complete this test.
